Ever since the Kinect came out, plans for it hitting PCs have been the subject of many rumors and plenty of hackers have actually tried their hands at attempting with varying level of success.รย Today all that changes as Microsoft officially announces the Kinect V2 for Windows.
Looking at the official image above, there’s really nothing much that has changed from the one for the Xbox, aside from the missing Xbox logo which is now replaced by a simple power LED indicator.
The Kinect V2 for Windows system will be connected via hub to the main PC and will need a DC adaptor for power.

The dev team has mentioned they are getting close to launch and we’re hoping it comes sooner than we hope. You can check out more info on the official Kinect for Windows site.
