A lot of our readers here in B2G are pretty much tired of their ISPs. Having secured a PLDT Fibre line last year despite our relatively undeveloped area, I’ve come to realize how valuable high-speed internet is in running a media publication like Back2Gaming. Every day we get asked which is better or what place has which ISP and its mostly a binary selection.
Today we got word from a friend over at UnGeek, Robert Yatco, who received a flyer from Xnet, an upcoming ISP that offers wireless fiber services at competitive prices. We reached out to Xnet’s FB page to get some details and it seems like they are still in early stages with GA Towers at Ortigas being the test center for their service.
From their brochure, we can see they are offering the following packages:
- 2 Mbps – Php599
- 4 Mbps – Php999
- 6 Mbps – Php1199
- 8 Mbps – Php1349
- 10 Mbps – Php1499
- 15 Mbps – Php1599
- 20 Mbps – Php1799
- 30 Mbps – Php1999
- 50 Mbps – Php2399
The service also comes with a no-contract term allowing subscribers to terminate their service at anytime. Subscribers can also upgrade and downgrade plans anytime although payment terms for this is still yet to be known.
Xnet Bro plans have no caps and are completely symmetrical there are no download limitations and bandwidth ratings are for both upstream and downstream.
Xnet also has a business service called Xnet Bro.
Xnet Bro is still currently in testing stages and coverage as of right now that we’re aware of is only at GA Towers Ortigas. We’ll share more once we get more information.
You can contact Xnet via their Facebook page, or contact # 231 2982.

Posible naman yan. Hehe. Kunwari. From manila (head) to batangas . Fibr gamit nila, tas yung center nila sa batanagas ang nag didistribute ng signal sa mga subscriber nila. Parang ganon.

Hey Guys,
I just came across this and wanted to let you all know of our experience with Xnet. I operate a business based at One Miguel Building. Previously we’d been using WifiCity who were providing us with 10Mbps/10Mbps fiber line – yes we were getting 10/10 however as it was a business line (basically less people sharing the potential bandwidth) we were paying PHP57,000/mth. I know this is way above what any of you expect to pay however we recently switched over to Xnet who are providing us with a 20Mbps/20Mbps line for around PHP28,000 ie twice the band width for half the price we were paying WifiCity for a 10/10 line.
The customer service we’ve received out of Xnet has been exceptional ie the one issue we’ve had they had a tech in our office within the hour and then continued to monitor the service overnight and gave me a call in the morning to let me know how things were. Never had that from any provider either here in the Philippines or back in Australia.
If you have the chance to use them then jump at the chance. If not, I know they’re looking at providing services to more buildings – start petitioning you’re body corporate to get them in and break the “Plobe” strangle hold.
Cheers,
Craig

Wireless technology is fine. It’s the fact that Globe is too greedy to install the normal amount of towers and support infrastructure in the Philippines. Wireless 3G/4G when properly done in the Philippines will work perfectly.
