PCWORX, one of the largest computer & tech stores in the Philippines, launched Intel’s latest NUC featuring 6th Gen Intel Core series processors. The launch event was a movie screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast held at Gateway Cineplex Platinum last March 18, 2017. The attendees were gamers and bloggers specializing in tech.

  • Mini HDMI to VGA

The 6th Gen NUC has a cash price of Php 29,449.00 and is bundled with an 18.5″ monitor, a standard USB keyboard and mouse, and a convenient mini HDMI to VGA adapter.

PCWORX also showcased their pre-built desktops from different brands and their own pre-built offering

The Gigabyte desktop sports their latest and highest end GTX 1080 from the AORUS lineup. Both motherboard and GPU are capable of RGB lighting and are able to sync with your AORUS RGB certified fans and RGB strips. The casing it not your typical gaming chassis, this type of casing is more like a test bench with a transparent enclosure.

Worx Challenger Desktop

  • INTEL CORE I5-7600
  • Gigabyte H110M-DS2 DDR4 1151 AVL MATX
  • Kingston HX421C14FB2/8 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz Dimm

  • Trendsonic FC-F55AS Mid-Tower Black 600watts Casing
  • Palit GTX1050TI 4GB DDR5 128bit DVI/HDMI
  • Samsung LS22F355FHEXX 21.5 VGA/HDMI Black Monitor
  • Cougar Deathfire Keyboard and Mouse

Lastly, we dive in to the PCWORX’s custom pre-built desktop, the Worx Challenger. Based from its specs and from our hands-on testing at the event area, their pre-built desktop can not just handle 1080p 60fps gaming, but it can also drive a 144hz panel. Whats also good about this build is the 240GB SSD to ensure fast loading times, the only downside I can see in this build is the underwhelming Trendsonic 600watt power supply.
