Closer Look
The BitFenix Colossus mATX features bare side panels held in place by thumbscrews. The right rear panel features the front panel buttons, USB3.0 and audio ports. The Colossus was well-known for its illuminated light bars and the Colossus mATX manages to bring the same effect, in much lesser fashion though, to this smaller case. The white streaks on the side are the light bars on the Colossus mATX.
Note: As the Colossus mATX uses the same frame as the Prodigy mATX, we will be reusing some of the contents from that review.
The front of the BitFenix Colossus mATX is angular with the BitFenix logo in the center. The light bars from the side taper to the middle and goes larger meeting in the center. As it is, the great contrast is already a feast to behold.
The Colossus mATX employs a reversed-tray method of mounting the motherboard. This is evident in the rear with the PCI slots, a total of 5, is found on the upper side of the chassis.
Flipping the BitFenix Colossus mATX over, we see the bottom where a 230mm vent is present. The PSU cutout can also be seen from this shot which is at the front of the chassis.
The Colossus mATX features a swing-door front face, behind it is a fan intake and a vented 5.25″ drive bay.
A LED control button is found in the left side of the front bezel.
