This gives it the same level of flexibility as the highly-acclaimed chassis but gets a signature look for itself as its defining characteristic. Let’s break down the scores further.
Build Quality.รย BitFenix isn’t cheaping out on steel in the Phenom. The chassis is pretty much boss when it comes to sturdiness and the premium coating complements the overall feel of the chassis. The black version we have in particular is clean and crisp.
Functionality.รย The Phenom features a laundry list of features to accommodate a high-end system in as small a space as possible. Radiator support, long GPU support, heck if you’re modding you can cram up to 3 radiators in there. Its a good canvass and the Phenom provides a good starting point for a small system that packs a lot of power.
Bundle.รย The BitFenix Phenom has plenty of out-of-box goodness pre-built into the chassis but as a premium product, the zip ties do far less to put together the bundle. P-clips, cable holders and velcro straps would’ve rounded off the package well.
Value.รย BitFenix tags $99.99 for the Phenom. Locally though, the Phenomรย can be had for as low as Php3490, just the same price as the Prodigy which puts it in a very good price range for an ITX chassis compared to the more premium offering from Silverstone and Lian Li.
BitFenix offers the most competitive premium ITX chassis in the market right now that can fully support standard ATX PSUs whilst having plenty of space to accommodate a high-end system. You can easily spend top dollar for smaller chassis but it doesn’t give you the flexibility that BitFenix’s solutions have. This is the main reason why BitFenix is a great choice if you’re building an ITX build.
The BitFenix Phenom is a sleek looking box and if that is your thing for a CPU chassis, rest assured you’ve getting a quality product with it. It all boils down to look really, the Prodigy or Phenom. Its up to you.
