Unboxing – Zeus Z-350 2.1 Bluetooth Speakers
Unboxing –ย Overview
I showed a quick unboxing on the video above. Kindly subscribe and like if you liked this review or dislike if you think it’s shit.
For our closer look, we are mainly looking at the overall content of the Zeus Z-350 2.1 Bluetooth Speaker. This speaker is mainly available on LAZADA. The packaging is upright plain and simple. The box already shows the physical design of the speakers as well as highlighting some of the speakers’ main feature.
You can find more specification about the speakers at theย side of the box. The speaker is rated to work with 220 volts, but of course, consider that voltage rating with 10 percent tolerance. The total rated power usage of this speaker is 20W as per specs.
The sensitivity is rated 90dB. However, before anything else, for the sake of knowledge, sensitivity is defined as the speakersโ ability to effectively convert power into sound. This means the speaker will produce sound at the volume of 90 dB, measured by a microphone placed 1 meter away when it’s given the input power of 1 watt. That’s quite loud if you ask me. To see if the speakers can really produce sounds that loud, check out our general sound testing video below.

Accessories
The Zeus Z-350 2.1 Bluetooth Speakers comes with only one accessory which is aย 3.5mm Mini Jack Stereo to Twin RCA Phono Red White/Black Aux Audio Lead Cable. Other than that, there is one manual pamphlet.
The pamphlet simply tells you the speakers specification and the use of each parts of the speaker.
After you opened the box, you will be greeted with a foam casing that contains the two speakers. They are very light and nothing special to note of. From the first look, it appears that each speaker is equipped with two audio speakers. The second one is smaller than the main speaker.
Last but not the least, once you’ve taken out all the content of the box. You’re left with the subwoofer which is under the foam container of the two small speakers.
Zeus Z-350 2.1 Bluetooth Speakers – Closer Look
On this section, we take a closer look at the Zeus Z-350 speakers.
The outer design of the speaker pretty much speaks for itself. So to further understand this speaker, we have to look at the actual components used in this speaker but before that, let’s explore the speaker first.
So looking at the back of the subwoofer, you will find the bass control, the power switch, and as well as the input-output in the form of red/white AUX input ports. Again, you don’t have to worry if you can use the Zeus Z-350 on your laptop, cellphone, or on your computer because it comes with one 3.5mm to aux cable for that specific purpose.
Now the front has the volume control. It also has the LED lighting that is color blue. The LED lighting doesn’t seem to do much. It is not reactive in any way. At first, I thought it is sound reactive but it wasn’t. It also doesn’t change brightness if you decrease or increase the volume.
Now the main feature of this speaker can be found on the right side of the subwoofer. This is the main media control that allows you to change music or mode depending on your setup. In this control, you can see that it has an MMC SD Card port and as well as a USB port. The speaker has its own player built-in the system that allows the speaker to play any type of song stored in your USB Flash Drive or on your MMC SD Card when plugged. The mode switch is basically the Bluetooth switch. You have to press it if you want to switch to Bluetooth mode. Press it again to switch back to AUX mode.
The subwoofer speaker is positioned at the bottom of the subwoofer case. Nothing fancy worth mentioning other than that. So now let’s take a closer look inside the speakers. This will allow us to reveal the actual component used in this speaker.
Dismantling one of the speakers reveals that the small speaker like is actually not a speaker. It’s merely for show or for aesthetic purpose.
Taking a closer look at the actual speaker component used on each speaker shows that the speaker components have a rating of 4 ohms impedance and 5 watts power capacity.
Dismantling the subwoofer revealsย the inner parts used for the subwoofer. On first look, I thought that the subwoofer is too spacious. They can actually reduce the size of the subwoofer. I’m not quite sure if having this much space has its purpose given that this is a subwoofer.
The subwoofer uses a 6-ohm impedance and 10 watts power capacity speaker. Now with two (2) speakers that uses a 4-ohm 5w speaker and a subwoofer that uses a 6-ohm and 10w speaker, I believe this goes to show that this speaker should satisfy the typical quality of audio that most of the consumers demand.
Final Thoughts…
Overall, the Zeus Z-350 2.1 Bluetooth speaker is a decent speaker and by far exceeds my expectation. Given its price, it’s probably not the cheapest 2.1 speaker on the market. However, to justify the pricing, it’s the cheapest 2.1 speakers with Bluetooth capability on the market. That’s probably the selling point for this speaker. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a 2.1 speaker that can really give you a quality of audio performance, then there are other better options out there. In addition to that, discovering that the small speaker on each speaker is not actually a speaker is a bit disappointing. It somehow deceives the consumers of thinking it has two speakers on each speaker.
The built-in media is designed for people who wants to play songs off their USB flash drive, but do note that you can also use the media control for Bluetooth paired devices if you want to change the song.ย The selling point of this speaker is its bluetooth capability and as well as the built-in media control and the USB and MMC SD Card support.
To sum things up, this speaker is basically a decent performing speaker that is capable to up amp the volume and loudness enough to cover your typical room without sounding awful or broken. You can even use this speaker with your computer or other media capable devices which are definitely a bonus.
Lastly, if I were to rate this speaker, it’s on the “Hmm..It’s okay I guess” rating for me. Yes, it does provide value for your money and flexibility. Flexibility in terms that it allows you to use it as a PC speaker, and once you turn off your computer, you can still use this to pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth to play your favorite songs with a touch of the button.ย Now if you’re looking for a speaker that can provide you a satisfactory audio quality for your phone to connect to, then the Zeus Z-350 will by far give you the value for your money.
