We’ve taken a look at the original FinalMouse and the company has mainly been focusing on refining that mouse to perfect. With that out of the way, FinalMouse (the company) has now went on to designing a new product designed to implement the same ideologies from the original FinalMouse to a new product but with the intention for use in professional gaming. Now dubbed the Clasic Ergo, the original FinalMouse now welcomes its new brother to the family with the arrival of the FinalMouse Tournament Pro. This product is designed with eSports pros in mind particularly CS:GO professionals and have been designed in collaboration with these people.
As with the original FinalMouse Classic Ergo, the FinalMouse Tournament Pro is intended for professionals designed with the sole intent of bringing professional gaming needs in the forefront and leaving gimmicky baggage behind. That said, the FinalMouse has been fine-tuned both in hardware and software to create a harmony of what’s aimed to be the de-facto standard in professional gaming mice.

Closer Look – Packaging
Just like the original FinalMouse Classic Ergo, FinalMouse sticks to a simple packaging design. This time around they use an all black cardboard box with a white FinalMouse logo on print in the front flap. Minimal prints are shown on the back of the box but everything is kept minimal.
The box has a flip-up cover in the front which allows us a peak of the FinalMouse Tournament Pro mouse inside. A plastic top-shell protects the mouse inside.
Inside the packaging we have the FinalMouse Tournament Pro gaming mouse, a sticker sheet and an info card.
Closer Look – FinalMouse
The original FinalMouse had an ergonomic shape hence its re-christening to the Classic Ergo, FinalMouse designed the Tournament Pro as the ambidextrous equivalent featuring all the technical prowess of the original. The design is mostly subdued from an aesthetic standpoint staying true to the simplistic design that FinalMouse aims for. Still, FinalMouse claims that there’s plenty of thought that went to the dimensions of this mouse so going over the design, we can see from the top angle that this is a bit longer than the Classic Ergo but retains the same look albeit with some real fine tuning to accommodate its ambidextrous shape. At the bottom we can see 4 teflon feet to help the Finalmouse Tournament Pro glide easier on any surface with the Pixart 3310 sensor positioned in the center of the base as FinalMouse claims this is the most optimal position to maximize the performance of the mouse.
The shape of the FinalMouse Tournament Pro is best appreciate from the sides as from this angle we can clearly see its difference from the Classic Ergo. Starting from the front where the cable leads from, the left- and right- buttons have a longer and dive deeper forward compared to the Classic Ergo’s. This gives the FinalMouse Tournament Pro a longer profile which makes it easier for people with larger hands to appreciate the mouse. On the sides, we have side buttons on the left side of the mouse which are contoured to match the curve of the upper shell. They’re quite high-up and a bit hard to reach for my grip though.
The body of the Tournament Pro features a matte coating but it doesn’t have that fine grit feel that some coating have. The coat is quite well-done and doesn’t scratch easily nor was there any residue in our sample.
The mouse wheel is illuminated in a simple white glow. The FinalMouse Tournament Pro is driverless and doesn’t require any driver when plugged in. To adjust sensitivity, you can toggle from the built-in settings of 400, 800, 1600, 3200 DPI. The FinalMouse Tournament Pro has a polling rate of 500hz fixed.
As an ambidextrous product, the FinalMouse Tournament Pro caters to both right-handed and left-handed gamers. This means that regardless of your dominant hand, you’ll experience the same performance and comfort from the mouse from any orientation the only drawback we can come up with here is the lack of side buttons on the right which you would use if you were left-handed.
User Experience & Conclusion
As with the Classic Ergo, the Finalmouse Tournament Pro focuses on one thing and that is pure performance: from the design to the component selection, Finalmouse claims that this mouse is intended to be as responsive and as natural as possible. Putting it to the test, we put it through its paces in my personal gauntlet of games. As this mice has been designed with FPS pros, its fitting that my current set of games that I’ve been playing heavily are FPS. Overwatch primarily deserves a special nod as it allows players to select various heroes with varying abilities and traits. That said, heroes like Tracer or Winston who play best with twitch and jerk reactions to best maximize their play-style are handled well by the Finalmouse Tournament Pro and its excellent tracking. Dialing down to the precision end of the spectrum, the Tournament Pro offers the same level of precision even in lower DPI settings giving you great control over sniping situations.
Moving on the comfort, there’s really no complaining here. At 76grams its only a touch heavier than the Classic Ergo but offers the same level of performance. What this mouse highlights as we’ve mention is its ambidextrous design to make it more accessible to more gamers. Its shape is tuned to serve as an extension of the players hands and you really have to hold it to experience what we’re saying right now. We’ve described it in our older review as that “raw” feeling you get from a performance mouse: it feels as if its part of your hand and there’s really no going around how natural and responsive it really is.
At $69.99 it competes heavily in the mainstream market of gaming mice, with the likes of Zowie, Razer and SteelSeries serving as its primary competition but as those company continue to find ways to reel in more customers by styling and adding cosmetic features, the FinalMouse Tournament Pro is as refined as any of their products but stays true to its purpose without being weighed down or blown-up by needless features.
Ultimately, Finalmouse has once again created another excellent product. Its true that some people may see the price as too high for such a product but the performance and weight advantage of the Finalmouse Tournament Pro alone is enough a reason for any serious gamer to consider this product. Couple that with the excellent support that Finalmouse provides and you have yourself one of the finest gaming peripherals in the market.
