Closer Look
Tt eSports packages the Ventus Z in its new style packaging sporting a full colored print with the product shot adorning the front. A flip cover reveals features of the Ventus Z as well as a peak of the product itself. The back of the packaging highlights some of the features of the Ventus Z.
Inside the package is the Ventus Z mouse itself, a pair of Tt eSports dragon stickers, a warranty card and a user guide.
The Ventus Z is an ergonomic design mouse sporting a relatively smaller footprint than the larger Level 10M and is easily one of my Tt eSports sleekest mice to date. The top shell has the signature beehive mesh pattern with the Tt eSports logo underneath. Bold line split the Ventus Z segments apart with the buttons clearly defined with sharp angles.
A more conventional underbelly is seen here with the sensor a bit offset in the middle with three slick feet providing glide for the Ventus Z. Access to the weight chamber is also here.
Tt eSports includes a set of 4.5 gram weights for the Ventus Z. These can be removed to suit your taste.
The Tt eSports Ventus Z is an ergonomic design mouse and has a recess for the thumb grip on the left side with a subtle wing flap extending outwards for support. The right side of the mouse is also recessed for improved grip. There are a total of 3 side buttons to work with here with another 2 on the edge of the left mouse button serving as another extra.
The Ventus Z sports a smooth plastic build with sandblasted, grainy effect. This gives its an anti-fingerprint finish and just an overall quality feel to the build.
Tt eSports uses braided cable capped with a reinforced, gold-plated USB connector. A velcro strap is connected in line for convenience.
The new Tt eSports mice including the Ventus Z and Ventus R both feature RGB lighting support and can be customized via software.
User Experience & Conclusion
The Ventus design started out with a focus in comfort but has slowly matured in a style-focused product but still retains its roots in the ventilation aspect of the vents. Performance-wise, the Tt eSports Ventus Z is again a big leap compared to the previous Ventus offerings and its sleeker design does translate to a better gaming experience overall. Its shape contributes much to the overall performance and comfort improvement and we’d like to give a big shoutout to Tt eSports for improving on their gaming peripherals by so much lately.
Talking about the features of the Tt eSports Ventus Z, there’s not much in terms of advancements but for the entire Tt eSports line this is by and far the most advanced gaming mice they have to date in terms of performance, design and features. The decision to go for a more traditional, streamline look makes it more ideal for majority of gamers compared to its more eccentric predecessors. Button layout is well thought-out and makes it a great tool for competitive gaming with programmable buttons. Tt eSports still isn’t as polished as we’d like but we can say that in terms of customization and layout, its pretty mature.
Overall, the Tt eSports Ventus Z gaming mouse is effectively Tt eSports’ most advanced gaming mouse to date and it nails all the right check-boxes for gamers who prefer a highly customizable, high-performance gaming mouse for highly competitive use. Tracking is excellent, ergonomics is great and there’s just not a lot of bad things you can say about the Ventus Z unless you’re trypophobic.
