Closer Look
So looking closely at the San Francisco Earphones, there’s no denying that the design looks very much like an Apple earphone but only with a few differences: the flat cable is very likable and flexible and the mic piece feels premium. It fits perfectly in the ears and comfortable to use despite its deceptively traditional sized earbud.
After hours usage and testing we surely appreciated the place fitting since it’s very comfortable and it fits well but obviously not everyone has the same size ears. Although if you find yourself forcing the Apple’s earphones to make it stay on your ear, these San Francisco Earphones will surely suite you.
User Experience and Conclusion
We test the Urbanista San Francisco with both an LG G3 and a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 5 Rx. We burn-in the Urbanista San Francisco for 100 hours before writing down our thoughts on the audio quality.
Starting off, sound quality is decent and for an earbud-type, its definitely got good isolation. Sound quality isn’t revolutionary but for its price, but its decent to say the least. Its bass is light and don’t have much punch but good enough to satisfy average listeners. Mids and vocals are clear and have good separation. Highs are a bit tinny especially for some music genre but average pop music and EDM go well with the San Francisco’s audio characteristic.
Comfort-wise, the Urbanista San Francisco is a snug-fit and the earbuds feel light and you’d eventually forget you have them on after a while. If you don’t mind loosing the volume control and appreciate an earphone that offers better noise cancellation, tangle-free cable and something that looks a little more stylish (the San Francisco comes in 11 colors), these Urbanista San Francisco gives competitors in this price point something to worry about. In a more audio-quality focused battle though, the San Francisco sits below a names in the market but for its price its an easy consideration versus the tons of options littering the 20$ market for a bit more cash. If its just against Apple’s stock earbuds, San Francisco wins hands down.
