Winter 2013 – Yama no Susume

Girls and mountain climbing. It’s not that bad actually.

Aoi is an indoors-type girl who once was enchanted with mountain climbing. Back in Elementary, she and her friend Hinata apparently climbed a mountain (!) and sort of made future plans to go on mountain climbing. In present day, they actually end up in the same school and Hinata quickly drags Aoi off to resume where they left off, much to Aoi’s apprehensions.

Yes, suspension of disbelief required: Elementary kids mountain climbing unsupervised. Although I have to be honest, I’m quite curious if this show will actually tackle mountain climbing seriously. If it does, this should be nice and interesting. If this treats mountain climbing as a joke, well, facepalm then.
