The NVIDIA GTX 1060, which is classified under the mid-ranged graphics cards category, will soon be available in the worldwide market. This card will have a hefty 6 GB GDDR5 of RAM, a total of 1280 Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) cores. See details below for prices and availability in the Philippines.
The local pricing of GTX 1060 is estimated to be between Php 12,000 to 14,000 in the Philippines on top which is set to compete with the AMD RX 480 that has a current SRP of Php14,500 for the 8GB variant. The GeForce GTX 1060 has an official launch starting price of $249 from AIB partners and $299 for a limited edition Founders Edition card.
Local PH stores have already posted notices for pre-orders for the custom-PCB GeForce GTX 1060. ASUS is reportedly releasing a STRIX variant on day 1 with ZOTAC announcing their AMP edition just a week ago. Prices for these cards will range values close to Php12,900 to Php14,000 for mainstream card configurations. Custom GTX 1060 to be launched in the future are expected to go higher than Php14,000.
NVIDIA’s GTX 1060 is designed to performance around the same as a GTX 980 but consume less power with a single PCIe power connector. The NVIDIA GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 launch wasn’t far behind as we’ve seen launches the past 2 months.
