Closer Look
GAMDIAS is new to us but they are here now to offer their latest and top-notch products from their lineup like the Zeus gaming mouse.
Today, GAMDIAS has sent over a ZEUS Laser Gaming mouse for us to test. Looking at the left profile, there are 4 buttons for use with your thumb. The wheel is a soft-rubber and features a back-lit configurable through their HERA 2.0software. Behind the wheel are positioned three buttons for the control of DPI. ZEUS is only suitable for right handed users and has 9 programmable keys.
The right side offers us no buttons to use, but GAMDIAS offers two panels that will expand to custom fit your specific grip.
The back of the mouse features a very tall and slender shape for the palm of the user. We also see at the bottom a section of brushed aluminum, which is actually part of a cover that holds the weight that can be adjusted.
Right under where your palm would sit, we find the ZEUS name made into the logo. While the other lighting will have color options, this logo will always be a yellow-gold color when this mouse has power.
Zeus features an adjustable weight system, inside the package there are 5 small pieces that weigh 4.5 grams ea.
To open the weight compartment, you need to slide the metal plate away from the rest of the mouse, and then it will lift up to offer access to the weights and the rubber holder to keep them snug and in place. There is even a little tab to pull to help with the removal.
The front features and promotes a palm grip type of design and are given wide buttons on both sides of the scroll wheel. The front also features one big button that functions as a DPI Profile Cycle by default. Along with a bit of chrome on the front plate, we also have lighting to either side of it.
Under the mouse, there is a skinny but wide teflon feet at the front edge, 3 scroll wheels, compliance sticker, the laser sensor, and an oddly shaped teflon feet near the rear that surrounds a pair of lighted panels. There is also another back teflon feet that is on the weight compartment cover with the arrows embossed into it.
