Closer Look
The Tronsmart Element T6 comes packaged in a clean, full-colored print box with an image of the speaker in the front. Some features are highlighted in the front with a the back showing another angle of the product with a breakdown of some of the other features.
Inside the package we have the Element T6 speaker, a microUSB cable for charging, a 3.5mm cable and some documentation.
Here we have the Element T6 wireless speaker. Its a cylindrical speaker with a uniform look all around. Its available in various colors as we’ve seen some in red. The sample we have is black with black speaker mesh and black trims running along the body. The rim on the top which is done in silver is the only contrasting color here aside from the prints and base.
The top of the body of the speaker is where the control dial is located. The topmost part has button, intuitively positioned such as power, fast-forward/rewind, etc. while the top rim is the volume control. The volume wheel spins indefinitely so a warning voice prompt is play when it is set to max.
Here we see the base part of the speaker and it does bring the bass. The base is raised by ridges at the base which offers some clearance for the speaker to move.
Here’s a size comparison with a sports bottle. Its relatively compact and fits into most backpacks. It stands around 20cm tall and is just around 600 grams which is quite light.
There’s a tab near the bottom that hides both USB and audio jack. The tab covers it for waterproofing and is recommended to be covered when used near water.
Connecting to Bluetooth is as simple as holding down the play button. Once the pairing light starts blinking, you’re ready to pair. Once paired, there’s a microphone in the speaker so you can take calls with it as well.
Lighting indicators include red for warnings like max volume or low battery, green for aux mode (wired) and blue for Bluetooth.
User Experience & Conclusion
The Tronsmart Element T6 features two 12.5w speakers facing away from each other. This gives is the ability to produce sound in a 360* direction. But coverage of audio isn’t really the main highlight here. Despite its size, the audio quality is superb and there’s little to no distortion when the volume is set to max. The bass is punchy and depending on the surface you put it on top on, gives a really a good thump. We highly suggest hard surfaces to place it on for maximum performance although we do note that on max gain, the Element T6 does have the tendency to hop itself. Mids are clear and vocals are decent and it really doesn’t favor any genres. Again, do note that this speaker favors bass and if you’re not a fan of those sound signature you can either adjust the equalizer setting on your source or lower the volume slightly.
Battery performance lasts around 8-12 hours on max volume but on more relaxed situation like just watching movies and video, 14 hours was possible. This is perfect for outdoor parties and other activities where you need audio but don’t have access to an outlet.
Overall, the Tronsmart Element T6’s best asset is its price. At just Php2799 retail, it is nearly 1/3 the price of competing mainstream brand speakers and at that price range, it offer decent audio and build quality. If you’re in the market for a straight-up audio quality offering backed by good build quality with no fancy lights and other bloat, the Tronsmart Element T6 wireless is the best choice for you.
