Palit’s Dual series of graphics card serves as their mainstream offering. Curiously, it shares its series name with ASUS’ DUAL series line and both fill the same purpose but so far we’ve not seen anyone complaining of confusion. Back to the graphics card at hand, the Palit RTX 4070 SUPER Dual continues the RTX 40-series’ Dual style from Palit with a plastic shroud and backplate adorning a slim 2-slot height heatsink cooled by a pair of 95mm fans which support idle-stop for 0db idle fans.
We’ve looked at the Palit RTX 4060 Dual before which features a smaller footprint than the RTX 4070 SUPER Dual but ultimately features similar design traits. Out of the box, the fans on this card are tuned to be on the low RPM side so they run very quiet but stay within 80*C, this does cause >80*C hotspot temperature which is alleviated by providing a custom fan curve.
Palit has a 3D-printed initiative for their GamingPro and Dual series card which allows users to 3D-print their own custom covers and customize them to their hearts’ content. Those without 3D printers may commission or have their projects printed via a 3rd-party service and painted and assembled afterwards.
